Holiday Finishing: deadlines for this holiday season are near. Think mid-November, but Be sure to call first to see if the deadline has been extended, or has unfortunately lapsed. A reminder too that you should still bring your finishing in so you will be first-in-line for receiving it after the finishers come back from vacation in the new year. Thank you in advance for allowing us to put the 'icing on the cake' of your Needlepoint Masterpieces.
Classes and stitching opportunities: An invitation is extended to those who would enjoy stitching, chatting, laughing, and learning at our Round Table on Fridays...meet new people, see your friends, learn new Needlepoint Skills through show and tell. Call and reserve a place for you and a friend for Open Stitching...starting in November.
This November starts our annual CUSTOMER APPRECIATION SALE: On select canvases, our cost is your cost...Christmas ornaments, and stockings will be reduced by 25%. 20% off Finishing brought in to Needlepoint of La Jolla in December...10% off all threads for canvases purchased in November and December. CLASSES
Jill Rigoli, is teaching at Needlepoint of La Jolla on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., call (858)454-0082 for her schedule and to reserve a seat. She shares her vast experience in textured stitching and thread selections for your special Needlepoint design. Take notes, trade ideas, and develop your new techniques planned by Jill. The teaching fee is $25 payable to Jill, per class, and Fun is always guaranteed
We will be teaching needlepoint to young students at Bird Rock Elementary School this Autumn. Pictures will be taken and posted here to view our newest stitchers. Until then here are a few snapshots of our granddaughter Makayla with her mother Erica learning a stitch or two.

November 2008 ~ Happy Birthday Shining Needle SOCIETY ~~~ Gay Ann Rogers will be celebrating the first birthday of this notable-on-line-stitching phenomenon...log on to her web site: www.GayAnnRogers.com and learn more about joining over 1800 avid stitchers who are involved in this special organization. Be sure to check out the snapshots of those who came to the Birthday Party at Needlepoint of La Jolla to enjoy the stitching, the company, and the merriment.

TRUNK SHOWS
Trunk Shows: Be sure to let us know which artists' designs you would want to see at a TRUNK SHOW. January 2009, is our industry's Trade Show will be in San Diego. At that time we make plans with select artists for Trunk Shows for the upcoming year. Give us your ideas and we will connect at the market, schedule a different show for every month, and advertise whose art will be on Expo!

This new location is approximately two miles from our last place of business. Come see how we are growing, and meet my newest partner Bill Price, my best friend and husband. We were married on New Year's Day, 2006 at a pretty park overlooking a beach in La Jolla. We will always have fireworks, champagne, and the next day off on our special day every year.
Carrell has joined the 'fun' retirement set...lunches, ANG meetings with friends, and enjoying her pet pooch TeddyBear, a mix of Yorkie, Lhasa, and Poo. Teddy is nine years old now, about ten pounds, and is a kissing-cuddler. Carrell is delighted, and so is Ted. We rescued him in May 2006...we found him on the internet site, Petfinder.com, and after qualifying to adopt him, we did.
I have sad news of Annie our Schnauzer. After nine years with us, and fourteen years of living a great dog's life, Annie is now with our first shop-dog Spencer. If you ever met Annie, you may have heard that she barked in a wisper. I bet she's running free with Spencer, barking at birds and squirrels, and eating whatever she wants. We will miss Annie, but we have Needlepoint designs with her likeness throughout the store, and we'll never forget her gentleness.
Carol Courington became part of our Needlepoint Family the Spring of 2008. Carol brings to our shop her talents for smart stitching. Carol can help you increase your desire to learn decorative stitching and guide you with detailed suggestions. Her desire to teach and share her skills, combined with her quick wit, will keep you coming back. Visit with Carol on her scheduled days of Tuesdays and Thursdays.
